Lucky Duck Dog Training
Marian Powell, CTC
Teaching Life Skills to Dogs and Dog Skills to Humans
I began volunteering with shelter dogs in 2014 and have worked in various shelters as both an employee and as a volunteer. In 2021, while volunteering at Animal Humane New Mexico, I attended The Academy for Dog Trainers (founded by Jean Donaldson) and earned a Certificate in Training and Counseling (CTC). I also use selected TBTE (Training Between the Ears) techniques to address various common behavior problems.
My goal is to help your dog fit into your lifestyle and be a pleasure to have around so that you can be happy and enjoy each other's company. I believe that dogs who can go places and be with their humans have richer, fuller lives and a deeper bond with their human caretakers.
